The time just flies by...

A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed
hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.
~ Elbert Hubbard

WOW, I can't believe I've been here for 5 weeks already!  Happy to say the time is just flying right on by :)

View of the sea from our hike!

I am still in love with St. Kitts...and can't stop smiling when I get out of bed and it's yet another sunny day.  Dad and Cara visited this week, it was so nice to have them here.  It was so good to see Dad and get to spend some time showing off St. Kitts as my home away from home.  We had some great meals and got to go to Caribelle Batik and Romney Manor!

Romney Manor was originally owned by Sam Jefferson the great, great, great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson (3rd president of the USA).  It is named for the Earl of Romney who owned it after Sam Jefferson and was the first land owner in St. Kitts to emancipate his slaves.  It's a beautiful place and one of my favorite spots on the island!

Kittitian pup!  So cute!!!

Classes are good...first block exams are behind me and preparing for the next!  I really like my professors and think this program and university is surpassing my expectations!

I joined the Canine Medicine Club and enjoy getting to spend some time with "Shadow", one of the kennel dogs at Ross.  She's smart, sweet and improving so much!  Such a good girl...

I found my car for next semester...meet Kermie!

Excited to get it at the end of April when I come back for next semester!  Next obstacle is finding housing...super excited about that and living off campus!  Should be fun, great roommates and my girls will be here too!

72 days and counting...til I get to have some Addison and Isabelle snuggles...yes Addison I better get some!!!

Miss & Love you all!!!

Let the studies begin!!!

Nobody trips over mountains.  It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble.  Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain.  ~Author Unknown

Classes really started today...I am so excited to hear about the things I will get to do and experience just this semester!  The professors all seem so very knowledgable and helpful.  My first hands on experience starts in just a few short weeks...how many vet students can say that?

The island is even better than I remembered.  The locals are all so courteous, it's fun being someplace where total strangers make it a point to greet you at every passing.  Really makes you realize how much we just do our own thing in the states.

The food is amazing, never had so much bbq chicken before and I had and really enjoyed...are you ready for it (hold on to your hat mom)...BBQ ribs!  They were delish!  :)  So taking everyone there when they come to visit!  Yes even you Sarah, because their sides were AMAZING!!!  Great place to eat...it's called Cathy's!

Looking forward to my first visitors in a few weeks, will be nice to see some familiar faces and spend some time with them!  Looking forward to and planning other visits, everyone really has to come here at least once!  Addison and Isabelle could really have some fun here in a year...hint, hint!!!!

Ok well since classes have started, so has the homework!  It's fun research and reading since it's all related to what I love!  I am beginning to see a little glimmer of the light at the end of that tunnel.

Here's to taking a leap...and finding the faith!
